Hello!
After our first full week, it really feels like the school year is underway. We are rocking and rolling with curriculum and the kids are jumping in.
NWEA testing went fabulously last week, and we are going to taking Math tests this week. We will also be working on makeups and finishing up on Monday.
Just a reminder that breakfast is free and available everyday. I know mornings can be hetic, let our kitchen take one thing off your plate. Also, both breakfast and lunch are free to every student.
This week is HOMECOMING week. The dress up days are attached below. I can't wait to see what the kids come up with. It's always a fun week. The athletic department is going to be making some changes to the expectations for those who attend the game. Please be on the lookout for those.
If you have not received a bright yellow car hanger, please reach out to your child's teacher. Our car rider line is pretty big right now, and those will help us get your kiddos identified and to your car as quickly as we can. We are working through the most efficient way to get kids in cars. We are going to be doing inside dismissal for a while as they students listen much better than they do when we are outside.
In the morning, when you pull up, as soon as you hit a sidewalk, please have your child get out. we try to unload 4 at a time, so as to speed up the process there as well.
If you are picking up or dropping your student off in the back parking lot, know that space is designated 1st as pick up/drop off for preschool. (GSRP) Those parents will have priority and have permission to block people in as the bring their kids in. Next, staff members park back there and need the spaces to be open. Please use the car rider line, or bus stops.
I am attaching the link for parent volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, attend a field trip or a classroom activity, we need this fill out. Follow the directions and contact the office if you have any problems.
